In Ice Hockey action, the Vegas Golden Knights have snapped the Los Angeles Kings’ season-long 4-game winning streak with a 4-1 victory.
The visiting Golden Knights took the lead early in the 1st frame through William Carrier, but the Kings tied it at 1-all with just 5 seconds remaining in the period. Vegas bagged their 2nd in the middle frame as Alex Tuck found the net.
William Karlsson then made it 3-1 in the 3rd period and Paul Stastny bagged the 4th as he scored an empty netter.
Meanwhile in Winnipeg, the Minnesota Wild overcame the Jets 3-1 to end a 5-game losing streak. Matt Bartkowski, Charlie Coyle and Eric Fehr scored for Minnesota, while Devan Dubnyk stopped 26 shots to help the visitors win.
Patrik Laine scored the only goal for the Jets, who suffered their 2nd loss in a row. Winnipeg will next meet the Oilers in Edmonton and the Wild will host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.
